Wandering Mind

OK, I have tried to upload a picture and so far I haven't seen it.
I feel like it may be flying about in cyberspace.
Sure hope it isn't stuck on someone else's blog...they'd scream!

So, since I am here, I will tell about the Afghans for Afghans charity that a group I belong to is knitting for. My contribution so far is a kid's vest done in dark gray heather and purple wool. It is simple and I like making the pattern because you can add stitches or color to change it. A possibility of maybe stripes, of scraps of wool.
The A4A knitting is for families but mostly the kids. Some folks are making afghans and blankets. This is a75% wool based knitting project because it is so cold there.

I think about my ideas of colors and because of the strife there, I see dark colors. The laundry facilities are non existant in many areas, so we are using dark colors. Maybe one day the vibrant colors will come to my mind and settle in a spot that I can be comfortable with.
The original colors of thier weaving gives you a very clear picture that at one time they were happy and I am sure if given a chance we will soon see colors flashing in crafts and clothing to show joy!

Interesting that COLOR is such a strong way of expressing feelings!
Wear red, go dancing...even if it is in your own living room!
