Coming in from Out of the Blue!

I am resisting this...Coming in from out of the blue is hard..I will do it gradually.
Since Purple is a blue/red combo this is a good transition.

Ahh...a purple haze is the mind being treated to a comfort zone with this color...relaxing; do I smell Lavender? Is this wafting from a special part of the rainbow? The morning and the evening, which is this haze?

It is morning and the strong sun is trying to press it's strength over the purple mountains to give the earth a change. A few clouds still cling to the mountain tops, or is this water vapor from the generating plants or the mechanical plants...Oh, relief. It is neither but the soft mist from a mountain pool that causes the purple to hold back the sun just so, across the rocks. If only for a instant longer...
And now, the wandering mind moves on; problem and mystery of the light of morning is solved.

But what of this place at evening? Does the outcrops of wild heather glow stronger in it's color of purple in the evening light?

Wait! the Heather wants to tell of it's bright mid-day tones. They are so showy, the blossoms are so distinct, you won't miss one shade. Look at them: purple, lavender and a blush on the white, of shadowy changing purple, as the light travels across the bloom.

Fine, you've had your say.

This is pulling us into ongoing commentary about purple. Obviously it is a tenacious color... As it won't let go.

Another Day Another Color

It may be a stretch am I out from under the big tree by the stream full of fish or am I still there? Make the mind stretch...Oh, that feels good!
Pop!

Yep it stretched and I find I am in the realm of the Blue Men...BLUE!
Is it comforting or is it awakening?

Today it is comfort.
Blue in a yarn made soft by heavy, strong and noisy machines. There is a smell of engine oil in the air, people wear earplugs and there is a fuzzy blue dust bunny, floating in front of the hard working sweeper's soft mop!The spinners bring forth miles and miles of yarn. It is a slightly faded denim color with lighter blue slubs, it is coming to a store near you.
One near me!
I look. I think and I choose. It is perfect to use with a strong multi color yarn that has also been born of man and machine.
Is it a foreign born? Did this yarn travel? Yes, wonder what tales it could tell if it hadn't been packed into a plastic bag and great brown box?

The mind wanders on...
Are all blues sad, are they meloncholy? I think not, they rise in the sky over clean aired mountain, so how could they be sad or sorry? They sing...you know "sing the blues?" Those blues are a very exclusive color. The color of emotion. Ah, this is where color and feeling mix. How lucky those blues are!
Warm, fuzzy, soft, harsh, vibrant, cool...the color blue can be this in thread or thought.
Which would the color blue wish to be, if given a choice?

Moving on into color again...

Lost in the wonders of that wandering mind, I swoop into: What does the mind require...? Does it just lay in wait like the fishing lure mentioned previously? Again the wind catches this lure and seeks the thoughts which drift back to color; the fish waiting to be caught!

Off goes the "mind-stream," with the fish a flash of color! This time it will be red...a good basic!
Is red the color of heat, blood the dead and dying salmon in the Alaskan stream, coming home to spawn/die. Is this color also about life?

Yes, RED is the color of life.

Give blood it is life, leave blood for someone, as you donate part of yourself. Cover yourself in the red of life; wear a scarf of red knitted yarn. It has a flash of silver in it, the sparkle of the excitement of life!
The flash of silver once also belonged to the salmon. It is gone now but with death is life and the fish lives! Red is the leaf that floats slowly past the fish, it swirls. It changed to red at it's life end and then it begins a cycle not unlike the fish as it goes to the soil. The wearer of the scarf moves on and into the shadow of the tree that sent it's leaf to the soil On the edge of the stream more red is seen in the berries and the dark red bark. Nature is a complex arrangement of red. Learn from the red of the woods and the stream environment.
